Neman Glassworks opens office in Moscow
Neman Glassworks has opened its representative office in Moscow, BelTA learnt from the marketing department of the company.
The Moscow office will provide information services and conclude contracts. An exposition of the Neman-produced glassware has been organised in the office. In the future the Neman office is set to open its customs warehouses which will allow the company to boost exports to the Russian Federation. A possibility of opening a Neman office in St. Petersburg is being considered now.
In January-August 2008, the exports accounted for 67% of the total output of Neman Glassware. Some 37.7% of the total production was exported to the Russian Federation. Colourless glassware is exported to the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, the Netherlands, Germany, France and other countries. Neman Glassworks also exports its crystal wares to France, Italy, Belgium, Iran, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries.
Neman Glassworks was founded in 1883 as a small enterprise with one glass furnace and twenty workers. It specialized in pharmaceutical utensils and beer glassware. At present the company’s product range features 3,000 products made of crystal, coloured and colourless glass for homes, cafes, restaurants, interior decorations of offices and households. Neman Glassware employs more than 4,000 professionals.
