Designers


Creative team of professional glass designers work at the glassfactory for more than 50 years.

Among the first authors were graduators of Leningrad College of industrial arts of Mukhina L. Myagkova and V. Murakhver, then joined S. Raudvee, K. Vaks, V. Zelinskaya, V. Zhokhov. The 50ths actively shaped the image of Neman glass and now it is universally recognizable.

More than 9 thousand kind of products, souvenirs and decorative items are created by the designers of the factory. Hundreds of exhibitions, numerous awards and prizes, millions of vases, jugs, glasses and other table setting glassware and crystal items are the result of factory designers work.

VASILIY DMITRIEVICH SAMOHVALOV

VASILY SAMOKHVALOV

Was born in 1947
Education:
Glebov Minsk art school 1963-1968.
The Belarusian State theatre and art Institute (specialty art glass) 1972-1977.

1984 to 1986. Main designer for the USSR Ministry of Construction.

1986 to 2008. Chief designer of Neman glassworks.

From 2008. – Chief designer of OJSC "Glassworks "Neman".

— The development of products from glass and crystal for mass production;
— The development of decorative and gift articles, festival awards.


GALINA SIDOREVICH

Born in 1952 in the village of Bobrik, Brest region.

Education:
1971. – graduated from Minsk art school.
1978. – graduated from the Belarusian State theatre and art Institute.

Works in the field of decorative-applied arts (art glass), and industrial design (tableware, souvenirs, prizes, etc.). Participated in the creation of decorative chandelier for M. Bogdanovich Literary Museum in Minsk and decorative chandelier for Belarusbank in Grodno (co-author). Created decorative lattice for the building of Belarusian Embassy in Vilnius (Lithuania).

Since 1983 she has participated in art exhibitions and trade fairs in Belarus: in Grodno, Lida, Minsk, Pinsk, Vitebsk; in Russia: Moscow, Smolensk; and also: in Lithuania, Poland, Italy, Greece, Yugoslavia, India, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Germany, Algeria, UAE, Ethiopia, Germany, Sweden, etc.

Her works can be seen in the National art Museum of Belarus, the Belarusian Museum of History of Culture , the Museum of Belarusian Polesye, Lida history Museum, and Smolensk historical Museum and in private collections of UK, USA, Italy, and Poland.

Awarded with the Silver medal at USSR’s All-union Exhibition of Economic Achievements (1985).

SHETIK SERGEY

SERGEI IVANOVICH SHETICK

Born in 1967 in the town of Slonim, Grodno region.

Education:
1982-1986. –Glebov Minsk art school, as a sculptor-performer.
—Belarusian State Academy of arts as a painter of decorative art.

since 1996. Works as a designer at a glass factory "Neman".

Since 1992. Takes part in exhibitions of applied art (glass) in Minsk, Grodno, Lida, Budapest (Hungary), Vilnius (Lithuania).

His works are in the collections of the National Art Museum in Minsk, Grodno historical and archeological Museum


MURACHVER VLADIMIR

VLADIMIR SEMYONOVICH MURAKHVER

Born in 1931 in the city of Ananev, Odessa region.

In 1952 graduated from the Tashkent art College.

In 1959 he graduated from Leningrad higher art-industrial school named after V. I. Mukhina, majoring in "Art pottery, art glass processing".

After graduation was sent to work at a glass factory "Neman" as a designer.

At a glassworks "Neman" worked from 1959 till 2000.

During his work in the company he had created more than thousands of glass products, a large number of which are in mass production and are available now.

2001 – Honorary badge of the Union of artists
2006 – Diploma in honor of the anniversary of the Union of artists

The works of the talented designer were successfully demonstrated and continue to be on display at numerous international exhibitions and trade fairs.

In addition to his designing work of creating a new range of glassware products, he was also engaged in public activities. He organized and coached village volleyball team, the members of which have achieved under his leadership high results. He was the initiator and head of children's Studio of fine art. The works from the Studio have been exhibited at national exhibitions of children's creativity.

Retired. Lives in Berezovka. He is still a welcomed guest at a glass factory "Neman


MYAGKOVA LUDMILA

LUDMILA MIHAILOVNA MYAGKOVA

Born in 1929 in Leningrad.

In 1959 she graduated from Leningrad Higher art-industrial school named after V. I. Mukhina majoring in "Artistic ceramics and artistic glass".

.More than 50 years she worked at a glass factory "Neman" as a designer, as a chief designer.

A member of the USSR Union of artists, participant of many exhibitions and competitions. Her works are successfully exhibited at many exhibitions, including international ones. Has the Diploma of the 1st degree for the development of new types of glass mass production and for participation in the exhibition "Art and life" in 1961.

in 1977 and in 1990 was awarded the title "Honored art worker of the BSSR".

Currently retired. Lives in Berezovka.
